Sequel to 21 Jump Street confirmed for 2014

One of 2012’s unlikeliest box-office hits is set to continue the popular trend set by Hollywood nowadays with news coming out that the cop-comedy 21 Jump Street will be followed by a sequel.

The film’s studio 20th Century Fox has confirmed that the follow-up will be released in 2014 with filming set to begin in Autumn.

Actors Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are both set to reprise their roles as underachieving cops Schmidt and Jenko with the former continuing to co-write with Michael Bacall. Fellow co-star Dave Franco (Eric Molson) is also hoping to make a return.

However it is not known whether joint directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be back to helm it. Both are currently working on the highly-anticipated 3D animation The Lego Movie.

More news on the sequel will be unveiled soon….
