Head chef Vinette Robinson and her team try to find success at a new restaurant in official trailer for Boiling Point series

Boiling Point fans, it’s time to shout “Yes chef!” again…

A tense trailer has arrived for the forthcoming BBC drama series that will follow on from the successful 2021 film of the same name.

Once again, director Philip Barantini returns to helm the four-part series, which welcomes back a number of the film’s original cast, including BAFTA-nominee Stephen Graham and Vinette Robinson.

The plot sees head chef Carly (Robinson) battle to forge a name for a new restaurant, a few months after her mentor Andy (Graham) suffered a heart attack.

With the pressure to draw in new, hungry customers and the financial squeeze to keep the business profitable, Carly and her old kitchen crew must find a way to manage their complicated personal lives whilst creating quality food day in, day out.

Among the other returning cast members from the film include Hannah Walters (Emily), Ray Panthaki (Freeman), Gary Lamont (Dean), Áine Rose Daly (Robyn), Taz Skylar (Billy), Daniel Larkai (Jake) Stephen McMillan (Jamie), Hannah Traylen (Holly) and Izuka Hoyle (Camille).

Additionally, the rest of the expanded ensemble includes Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead, Snowpiercer), Stephen Odubola (Blue Story, The Sandman), Shaun Fagan (Kate & Jake, Malpractice), Joel MacCormack (Ready Player One, Hobbs & Shaw), Ahmed Malek (The Swimmers, Matar), Olivia Frances Brown (The Gathering, Archie), newcomer Missy Haysom and BAFTA winner Cathy Tyson (Mona Lisa, Help).

The original 2021 film was a major hit with critics and audiences and went on to score four BAFTA nominations, including Outstanding British Film.

Boiling Point will arrive on BBC One and i-Player from Sunday 1 October.
