An official trailer has arrived for Nyad.

The factual drama sees four-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening (American Beauty, The Kids Are All Right) portray veteran athlete Diana Nyad in what is sure to be another acting showcase.

Jointly-directed by documentarians Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin (Free Solo, The Rescue), the film focuses on how 64-year-old Nyad boldly decided to achieve her lifelong dream of making a 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida.

Two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster (The Accused, The Silence of the Lambs) co-stars as Nyad’s (fictional) best friend alongside BAFTA winner Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill, House of the Dragon).

Nyad will premiere at the BFI London Film Festival before streaming on Netflix from 3 November.
