Austin Butler and Tom Hardy see tensions evolve within their biker gang in new trailer for The Bikeriders

A new trailer has premiered for The Bikeriders.

Having been one of several major casualties from last year’s Hollywood strikes, the long-delayed period drama is hoping for much better luck when it finally arrives in cinemas this summer.

Helmed by Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Loving), the film gathers a mouthwatering cast that is spearheaded by BAFTA and Emmy-winner Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, Help, The Last Duel), Oscar nominee Austin Butler (Elvis, Dune: Part Two) and Oscar nominee Tom Hardy (The Revenant, Venom).

Based on the 1968 photo-book of the same name by Danny Lyon, the plot focuses on a strong-willed member (Comer) of a biker gang who marries a wild, reckless rider (Butler) and recounts the gangs’ evolution over the course of a decade

The rest of the film’s starry ensemble includes Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, George and Tammy), Mike Faist (West Side Story, Challengers), Boyd Holbrook (Narcos, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Damon Herriman (Justified, The Tourist), Beau Knapp (The Nice Guys, Destroyer), Emory Cohen (The Place Beyond the Pines, Brooklyn), Karl Glusman (Nocturnal Animals, Devs), Toby Wallace (Babyteeth, Pistol), and Happy Anderson (Bird Box, Bad Boys for Life).

The Bikeriders will rev its way into UK cinemas on 21 June.
