A wacky trailer has arrived for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
The absurdist action comedy incorporates elements from several genres including sci-fi, kung fu and animation in what looks to be one of 2022’s most innovative films.
Written and directed by Swiss Army Man filmmakers Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the film’s plot follows Evelyn Quan Wang, a Chinese-American laundromat owner who discovers that she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from destroying the multiverse.
Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Crazy Rich Asians) takes centre stage as Evelyn alongside a surprise comeback from former child star Ke Huy Quan (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, The Goonies) as her estranged husband Waymond.
Additionally, the rest of the film’s cast includes Stephanie Hsu (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Jenny Slate (Obvious Child, Venom), Harry Shum Jr. (Glee, Crazy Rich Asians), Tallie Medel (Joy Kevin, Fourteen), James Hong (Blade Runner, Big Trouble in Little China), and Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween, True Lies).
Everything Everywhere All at Once will be released in the UK on 13 May.
