Riley’s emotions are introduced to a group of newcomers in official trailer for Inside Out 2

Pixar fans, a new trailer for Inside Out 2 has premiered.

The long-awaited follow-up to the 2015 Oscar-winning animation welcomes a number of familiar faces alongside some new emotions.

Directed by Kelsey Mann (Megas XLR, Party Central), the plot sees a now-teenage Riley preparing for freshman year only for her emotions to be faced with a group of newcomers.

From the 2015 film, Amy Poehler (Joy), Phyllis Smith (Sadness) and Lewis Black (Anger) reprise their vocal roles alongside newcomers Maya Hawke (Stranger Things, Asteroid City), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear, Bottoms), Adèle Exarchopoulos (Blue is the Warmest Color, Passages) and Paul Walter Hauser (Cruella, Black Bird) as new emotions Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment.

Owing to reported salary disputes, Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling are not returning to voice the Fear and Disgust emotions with the roles now filled by Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Toy Story 4) and Liza Lapira (Unbelievabler, The Equalizer) respectively.

Inside Out 2 will arrive in UK cinemas on 14 June.
