More Marvel films on horizon says Marvel Studios president

With The Avengers storming the box-office (and making $1 billion in the process!), things are going well for Marvel Studios.

That run looks set to continue with more sequels being confirmed for some of the Marvel films including an Avengers follow-up as well as Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Captain America 2.

The president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige has now revealed more details about some of those sequels as well as the prospect of newer films to stretch out the Marvel universe.

“We want to do two films a year. Avengers is our only film this year. In a week and a half, we begin filming Iron Man 3. By the end of the summer we’ll be working on the next Thor film, early next year the next Captain America film. Those are the three we’ve announced so far. We’ve got two beyond that that we haven’t announced yet, but we’re working on.”

Speculation has suggested that Ant-Man is one of those Marvel comics that could finally make its big-screen debut although the Guardians of the Galaxy is another possibility. But we also seem to forget that the Incredible Hulk is appearing in five more films!

Smashing times ahead for comic-book fans!
