Jessica Chastain talks about Bin-Laden thriller Zero Dark Thirty

You’ve all probably figured out now that Jessica Chastain is the woman of my life (in a dream world of course!). With her next film Lawless due out next month, the Oscar-nominated actress has revealed more on her next film after that, the war thriller Zero Dark Thirty which chronicles the decade-long pursuit of Osama Bin Laden.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica admitted that she and the film’s crew led by Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow were ‘insanely pressured’ about making such a crucial film.

“I think with any movie when you’re telling a story like we’re telling, there’s an insane amount of pressure, because you want to honour the people that really were there, and you want to honour history. And you don’t want to tell the wrong story.

We shot a lot of Chandigarh, India, which is near the border of Pakistan, and it was a long shoot, it was a lot of stress. But I will say it was one of the best scripts I’ve ever read, the part is phenomenal, and the company that I’m in that film, it’s wonderful.”

Hopefully it is Jessica! She is joined in the film by Joel Edgerton (Warrior, The Great Gatsby), Mark Strong (Robin Hood, Kick-Ass) and Jennifer Ehle (Pride and Prejudice, The King’s Speech) with Hurt Locker writer Mark Boal penning the script.

Release date in the UK is confirmed for next January.
