Bradley Cooper to voice Rocket Racoon in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

While his looks may be popular with the ladies, Bradley Cooper is set to show off his vocal talents as well after being officially confirmed for a role in Marvel’s latest comic-book blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Oscar-nominated actor of The Hangover trilogy and Silver Linings Playbook will be voicing machine gun-welding hero Rocket Racoon in the sci-fi adventure, a few days after his casting was originally revealed.

Directed by James Gunn (Super), the film focuses on a jet pilot named Peter Quill who finds himself assembling a team of aliens to see off enemy threats to the galaxy.

Cooper joins a starry cast which also includes Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation, Zero Dark Thirty), Zoe Saldaña (Star Trek, Avatar), Vin Diesel (Fast and Furious series, Riddick trilogy), Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) and Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, Damages).

Guardians of the Galaxy will be released in cinemas on August 1st 2014.
