James Bond is back as he confronts a deadly criminal organisation in official trailer for Spectre

Fans who were left shaken and stirred by James Bond’s last big-screen outing Skyfall will be relishing the arrival of 007’s next adventure Spectre.

It’s all come in quick time too as the film’s production was first announced back in December but hard work has led to its impending release at the end of this year.

Daniel Craig reprises the iconic role for the fourth time as our favourite cinematic spy faces his toughest challenge yet in the film’s official trailer.

Helmed by Skyfall director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition), the plot sees Bond (Craig) receiving a cryptic message from his past which results in him tracking down a sinister organisation known as Spectre (short for (Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion) and confronting its leader.

Two-time Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained) portrays the villain which is speculated as being Bond’s arch-nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Other Bond debutants include former WWE wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) as one of Spectre’s main henchmen and Andrew Scott (Sherlock, Pride) as Max Denbigh, the head of the Centre for National Security.

On the female side of things, Bond will be fancying his chances with three beautiful co-stars. Firstly we have Mexican newcomer Stephanie Sigman (The Bridge) as Estrella, a young woman who has a fling with the agent while he is in Mexico. Then we have the ageless Italian star Monica Bellucci (Irreversible, The Matrix trilogy) as Lucia Sciarra, who falls for Bond despite the recent death of her mafia husband. Finally, French actress Lea Seydoux (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Blue is the Warmest Colour) plays Madeline Swann, the daughter of an assassin who is approached by 007 and ends up accompanying him in his quest to find Spectre.

As for former characters, Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Ben Whishaw (Q) and Rory Kinnear (Bill Tanner) are all back in their respective roles from Skyfall to add to the continuity of the Bond series.

Spectre will be released in the UK on the same day of its world premiere which is October 26th.
