It looks as though Adam Sandler will be suffering consecutive Razzie humiliation after his comedy sequel Grown Ups 2 was nominated for eight awards. The film is nodded for Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Sandler), Worst Supporting Actor (Taylor Lautner), Worst Supporting Actress (Salma Hayek), Worst Director (Dennis Dugan) and Worst Screenplay.

The film is followed by all-star rom-com Movie 43, sci-fi adventure After Earth and festive ‘comedy’ A Madea Christmas who all scored six nods apiece (including Worst Picture).

That particular category was rounded off by Disney flop The Lone Ranger which was mentioned five times including a Best Actor nod for Johnny Depp.

Naomi Watts was unsurprisingly recognised for her appalling turn as Princess Diana in the biopic flop Diana but also shared her nomination with her role in the much-ridiculed Movie 43.

On the subject of biopics, Ashton Kutcher was nodded in Worst Actor for his portrayal of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

Halle Berry was another double nominee for her appearance in Movie 43 as well as the woeful thriller The Call.

Sylvester Stallone brought his career total of Razzie nominations to 31, with a three way nod in Worst Actor for his roles in thrillers Bullet to the Head and Escape Plan plus the boxing comedy Grudge Match.

Father and son pair Will and Jaden Smith were both nominated in the two male acting categories as well as the Worst On-Screen combo accolade for their roles in After Earth (a film which secured yet another Razzie nod for struggling director M. Night Shyamalan).

The Razzies also humiliated the likes of Lindsay Lohan (Scary Movie 5), Lady Gaga (Machete Kills), Kim Kardashian (Tyler Perry’s Temptation) and Chris Brown (Battle of the Year) with acting nods.

One film that surprisingly didn’t get more stick was The Hangover Part III which had to settle for the one mention for Worst Sequel.
