Breaking Bad spin-off film El Camino set for Netflix release in October

Six years ago, the multi-award winning series Breaking Bad finished on an almighty high with leading character Walter White (Bryan Cranston) doing the right thing in rescuing his partner Jesse Pinkman from captivity before succumbing to a gunshot wound.

When we last saw Jesse, he was driving away in an El Camino car clearly jubilant about his freedom which left many of us wondering what would become of him.

But after long speculation, it has now been confirmed that a spin-off film centering on Jesse has been secretly made with Aaron Paul set to reprise his role as the long-suffering drug mule.

Entitled El Camino, the film is set to be released on Netflix in October which means not waiting too long for it.

An additional bonus is that a teaser trailer has been released which focuses on Jesse’s former business partner Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) as he is interrogated by police about the whereabouts of his old friend.

The official logline reads:

“In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.”

The spin-off is directed and written by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan but there is no word yet on which other Breaking Bad characters will be making an appearance in the film, whether through flashbacks or in a new appearance.

El Camino can be streamed on Netflix on October 11. Hell yeah, bitches!
