An official trailer has arrived for The Iron Claw.

The fact-based sports drama sees Hollywood favourite Zac Efron (High School Musical trilogy, The Greatest Showman) and Emmy winner Jeremy Allen White (Shameless, The Bear) take centre stage as two members of one of sport’s greatest dynasties.

Directed by Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene, The Nest), the film focuses on how the Von Erich family made history as professional wrestlers only to see their strength and spirit tested by a series of tragic events.

Efron and White play Von Erich siblings Kevin and Kerry respectively, with additional cast support coming from Harris Dickinson (The King’s Man, Triangle of Sadness), Maura Tierney (Liar Liar, The Affair), Stanley Simons (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Superior), Holt McCallany (Manhunter, Nightmare Alley) and Lily James (Cinderella, Pam & Tommy).

The Iron Claw is scheduled for release in the US on 22 December though a UK date is not yet known.
