As Autum begins to take centre stage, the results of August are in. And would you Adam and Steve it, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa deservedly won your film of the month with ten votes! A-HA!

Heading into September and with the Oscar season due to begin soon, the last month produced some intriguing films in which I saw three exceptional screenings which included Ron Howard’s Rush and the gloomy thriller Prisoners.

Next month, I will be posting another poll in relation to October but also doing one for Horror in the run-up to Halloween.
