Taron Egerton seeks to turn the computer game Tetris into a worldwide sensation in Tetris trailer

An official trailer has arrived for Apple TV+’s latest film, Tetris.

Directed by Jon S. Baird (Filth, Stan & Ollie), the factual drama sees Golden Globe-winning British actor Taron Egerton (Rocketman, Black Bird) take centre stage in the lead role of American game publisher Henk Rogers.

The film focuses on how Rogers and his Russian counterpart Alexey Pajitnov embarked on a high-stakes legal battle with the Soviet Union to secure the intellectual property rights to Tetris.

Nikita Yefremov (Cinderella, Londongrad) co-stars as Pajitnov alongside Ayane (Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga), Sofya Lebedeva (McMafia, Vikings: Valhalla), Roger Allam (The Thick of It, Endeavour), Anthony Boyle (Danny Boy, The Plot Against America), Togo Igawa (Memoirs of a Geisha, Speed Racer), Ken Yamamura (The Wolverine, Godzilla), Ben Miles (The Crown, The Capture), Matthew Marsh (The Iron Lady, Humans), Rick Yune (The Fast and the Furious, Die Another Day) and Toby Jones (Marvellous, Detectorists).

Tetris will arrive at Apple TV+ on 31 March.
