Nurse Jessica Chastain suspects Eddie Redmayne of being a serial-killer in The Good Nurse trailer

After finally landing her first Oscar for her portrayal of Tammy Faye Bakker in The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021), Jessica Chastain is back for another fact-based project that focuses on one of America’s most prolific serial-killers.

Entitled The Good Nurse, the gripping crime drama from Netflix pairs Jessica with fellow Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything, Fantastic Beasts series) who tackles the lucrative role of notorious murderer Charles Cullen.

A tense trailer has finally premiered ahead of its release next month.

Directed by Tobias Lindholm (A War, Manhunter) and written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns (1917, Last Night in Soho), the biopic follows a nurse who suspected her colleague of being responsible for a series of mysterious patient deaths and risked her own life in order to expose him.

Jessica and Eddie are joined in the film by Kim Dickens (Deadwood, Fear the Walking Dead), Nnamdi Asomugha (Crown Heights, Sylvie’s Love) and Noah Emmerich (Super 8, The Americans).

The Good Nurse is available to watch on Netflix from 26 October.
