Amy Adams’s Giselle inadventertently creates mayhem in her new life in Disenchanted trailer

A magical trailer for the live-action Disney musical Disenchanted has finally been unveiled.

The long-awaited sequel to Enchanted (2007) sees six-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams reprise her beloved role as fairytale heroine Giselle for a new adventure set ten years after the events of the original film.

Directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Rock of Ages), the plot sees Giselle moving to a new community alongside her husband Robert and stepdaughter Morgan. When she begins to question her happiness, she inadvertently turns the lives of those in the real world and Andalasia upside down in the process.

As well as Adams, the follow-up also welcomes back original stars Patrick Dempsey as Robert, James Marsden as Prince Edward, and Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine.

Additionally, Gabriella Baldacchino (Ask for Jane, The Conners) replaces Rachel Covey as the new Morgan while Maya Rudolph (Saturday Night Live, Bridesmaids), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community, The Odd Couple), Jayma Mays (Glee, The Smurfs), and Oscar Nuñez (The Office, The Lost City) feature as new characters.

Instead of being shown in cinemas, Disenchanted will be made available to stream on Disney+ from 24 November.
