Neighbours Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley are rebellious feminists in Wicked Little Letters trailer

A foul-mouthed trailer has been unveiled for Wicked Little Letters.

The fact-based dark comedy sees Oscar-winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite, The Father) and Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley (Wild Rose, Women Talking) take centre stage in their first collaboration since the 2021 film The Lost Daughter.

Directed by Thea Sharrock (Me Before You, The One and Only Ivan), the story focuses on how a single mother (Buckley) was accused of sending scandalous and obscene letters to her neighbour (Colman) and other women in the seaside town of Littlehampton in 1920s Britain.

Colman and Buckley are joined by a strong support cast that includes Anjana Vasan (Killing Eve, We Are Lady Parts), Timothy Spall (Mr. Turner, The Sixth Commandment), Gemma Jones (Bridget Jones’s Diary, Marvellous), Hugh Skinner (Fleabag, The Windsors), Lolly Adefope (Ghosts, Saltburn), Malachi Kirby (Small Axe, My Name is Leon), Alisha Weir (Darklands, Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical), Eileen Atkins (Gosford Park, The Crown), and Jason Watkins (Trollied, The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies).

Wicked Little Letters will arrive in UK cinemas on 23 February 2024.
