Lady Gaga’s Patrizia Reggiani plots to take down the Gucci dynasty in trailer for Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci

After making the solid transition from musician to actress in A Star is Born (2018), Lady Gaga is looking to continue proving her worth as an on-screen performer with her next leading role.

The multi-Grammy winner has been cast in the lucrative part of Italian socialite Patrizia Reggiani in the upcoming factual drama House of Gucci.

Bolstering an all-star cast (and plenty of Italian accents), the film’s extravagant trailer has finally landed.

Directed by the prolific Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator, The Martian), the plot focuses on how Patrizia’s turbulent marriage to Maurizio Gucci, the head of the Gucci fashion house, ended in divorce and murder.

As one of Hollywood’s busiest actors, Adam Driver (Marriage Story, Star Wars saga) portrays Maurizio alongside Oscar winners Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club, The Little Things) as Paolo Gucci, Jeremy Irons (Reversal of Fortune, Watchmen) as Rodolfo Gucci and Al Pacino (The Godfather trilogy, Scarface, The Irishman) as Aldo Gucci.

The rest of the starry cast includes Salma Hayek (Desperado, Frida), Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire, Fargo) and Camille Cottin (Killing Eve, Stillwater).

Coincidentally, Ridley Scott and Driver recently collaborated together on the historical drama The Last Duel which dropped its own official trailer last week.

House of Gucci is currently scheduled for release in the UK on 26 November.
