For those of you who fear the world is ending in the last month of this year, fear not! As the new trailer for Brad Pitt’s latest film World War Z shows, we shall be facing a worldwide zombie apocalypse in 2013!

Based on Max Brooks’s best-selling novel World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, the film focuses on Pitt’s character Gerry Lanes, a United Nations worker who is confronted (along with his family) by an uprising of the undead following a worldwide zombie epidemic.

Mireille Enos (The Killing), James Badge Dale (Shame, The Grey) and Matthew Fox (Lost, Speed Racer) co-star in the apocalyptic thriller with the film being directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, Quantum of Solace).

Not sure what to think with regards to the running CGI zombies who climb all over each but that aside, this looks like it will be one of the most thrilling films of next year.

The film will be released in cinemas in June 2013.
