A dark new trailer for Saltburn has landed.

Written and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell, the twisty gothic thriller is a follow-up to Fennell’s acclaimed 2020 effort Promising Young Woman.

Furthermore, the film also features two of cinema’s rising stars in Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan (Calm With Horses, The Banshees of Inisherin) and Jacob Elordi (Euphoria, Priscilla) as they tackle the two main roles.

The premise centres on a troubled college student (Keoghan) who develops an infatuation with a charismatic classmate (Elordi). However, things take an awkward turn when he is invited to meet his classmate’s aristocratic yet eccentric family over the summer.

The rest of the starry ensemble includes Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, I Care a Lot), Richard E. Grant (Withnail & I, Can You Ever Forgive Me?), Alison Oliver (Conversations with Friends, Best Interests), Archie Madekwe (See, Gran Turismo), Paul Rhys (Chaplin, A Discovery of Witches), Lolly Adefope (This Time with Alan Partridge, Ghosts) and Carey Mulligan (An Education, Promising Young Woman).

The film held its world premiere at Telluride in August, before hosting its international premiere earlier this month, when it opened at the BFI London Film Festival.

Saltburn is currently set to arrive in UK cinemas on 17 November.
