Astronomers Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence try to warn mankind about the end of days in Don’t Look Up trailer

As two of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic, The Departed, The Revenant) and Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook, The Hunger Games series) have certainly achieved a lot through their respective work.

It comes as no surprise then to see the Oscar-winning pair finally paired together for a new dark comedy that takes a stab at the Trump regime and the threat of global warming.

Entitled Don’t Look Up, the film has premiered a new trailer that promises plenty of satire and high-profile stars….

Directed by the in-form Adam McKay (Vice, Succession), the plot centres on two low-level astronomers (Leo and J-Law), who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy Planet Earth.

Both stars are joined by a mouthwatering ensemble cast that includes fellow Oscar-winning trio Cate Blanchett (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Aviator, Blue Jasmine), Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies, The Trial of the Chicago 7) and the great Meryl Streep (Kramer vs. Kramer, Sophie’s Choice, The Iron Lady).

Other remarkable names involved include Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name, Dune), Jonah Hill (Moneyball, The Wolf of Wall Street), Ariana Grande (Victorious, Scream Queens), Matthew Perry (Friends, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip), Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy), Michael Chiklis (The Shield, Gotham), Melanie Lynskey (Heavenly Creatures, Mrs. America), Himesh Patel (Yesterday, Tenet), Gina Gershon (Bound, Face/Off) and Tyler Perry (Gone Girl, Vice).

Don’t Look Up will stream on Netflix from Christmas Eve.
