The official trailer for Sense and Sensibility is here.
The upcoming romantic period drama is the latest screen adaptation of the beloved Jane Austen novel and will look to capture the hearts of audiences this coming Autumn.
Helmed by promising filmmaker Georgia Oakley (Blue Jean), the story follows the once-wealthy Dashwood sisters as they are forced into financial destitution after the death of their father. While adjusting to their new life in a modest cottage, they soon vie for the attention of various suitors in the hopes of finding true love in 18th century England.
Rising stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People, Where the Crawdads Sing) and Esmé Creed-Miles (Pond Life, Hanna) lead the film’s cast as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood respectively, and are joined by Caitríona Balfe (Outlander, Belfast) as Mrs. Dashwood, Frank Dillane (The Essex Serpent, Urchin) as John Willoughby, Herbert Nordrum (The Worst Person in the World, The Royal Hotel) as Colonel Brandon, Bodhi Rae Breathnach (So Awkward Academy, Hamnet) as Margaret Dashwood, George MacKay (1917, Femme) as Edward Ferrars, and Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter series, Killing Eve) as Mrs. Jennings.
Sense and Sensibility will be released in UK cinemas on 25 September.
