Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby returns from a self-imposed exile in new trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man

An action-packed new trailer has landed for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.

The feature-length spinoff of the acclaimed BBC crime drama series from Steven Knight comes four years after we last saw Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby ride off into the unknown during the climax of the final episode.

Directed by Tom Harper (Wild Rose, The Aeronauts), the plot sees Tommy driven back from a self-imposed exile to 1940 Birmingham to face his most destructive reckoning yet with the future of his family and the country at stake.

Once again, Oscar winner Cillian Murphy reprises his iconic role as the intimidating Brummie figure alongside his television co-stars Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne, Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong, Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs, Ian Peck as Curly and Emmy winner Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg.

The film also features a host of new cast additions including Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible series, Dune series), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, Rob Roy), Jay Lycurgo (Titans, Steve) and the prolific Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin, Saltburn) as Tommy’s son Duke.

Sadly, long-serving cast member Paul Anderson is not expected to appear as fan favourite Arthur Shelby owing to recent personal problems away from the screen. Hopefully, we might get another cameo from Tom Hardy as the much-loved Jewish gang leader Alfie Solomons!

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is scheduled for release in UK cinemas on 6 March before arriving on Netflix on 20 March.
