Almost a decade has passed since Robert Rodriguez unveiled his brutal big-screen adaption of Frank Miller’s comic-book thriller Sin City to audiences. But since then, a lot of people have been getting a little impatient about how long its follow-up A Dame to Kill For has taken to be made.
Thankfully the wait is finally over after the teaser trailer for the upcoming prequel/sequel was released yesterday.
Like its predecessor, the film centres on a group of stories that connect the mixture of old and new characters.
Original stars Bruce Willis (Hartigan), Jessica Alba (Nancy), Mickey Rourke (Marv), Rosario Dawson (Gail), Jaime King (Goldie and Wendy) and Powers Boothe (Senator Roark) all return while Josh Brolin (Milk, Oldboy) takes on the role of Dwight (who was previously played by Clive Owen).
Amongst the talented group of newcomers include Eva Green (The Dreamers, Casino Royale), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, Looper), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas, Copland), Juno Temple (Killer Joe, The Dark Knight Rises) and popstar Lady Gaga (Machete Kills).
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be released in the UK on August 29th.
