Having previously collaborated together on the zombie-comedy Shaun of the Dead (2004) and the comic-caper Hot Fuzz (2007), director Edgar Wright and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are back to conclude their ‘Three Flavours Cornetto’ trilogy with the upcoming apocalyptic film The World’s End which has finally released its first trailer.

The end-of-the-world comedy focuses on a group of five friends (including Pegg and Frost) as they decide to recreate an epic pub crawl they embarked on twenty years earlier. However their marathon drinking session results in them witnessing an alien invasion which leaves them holding the fate of mankind in their hands.

Martin Freeman (Love Actually, The Hobbit trilogy), Paddy Considine (Dead Man’s Shoes, Cinderella Man) and Eddie Marsan (Happy-Go-Lucky, Sherlock Holmes) co-star as the three other mates of the group with the lovely Rosamund Pike (Made in Dagenham, Wrath of the Titans) also appearing.

The film is set for release in the UK on July 19th.
