Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat returns for more outrageous antics in Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm trailer

Fourteen years ago, Sacha Baron Cohen’s popular character Borat Sagdiyev took centre stage in the controversial hit comedy Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

The fictional Kazakhstan reporter caused plenty of aggro during his on-screen debut in 2006 from naked fighting in a hotel to ‘kidnapping’ the actress Pamela Anderson.

With the world currently battling against the COVID-19 pandemic, Cohen has secretly reprised his Golden Globe-winning role for an upcoming sequel that is set to stream on Amazon Prime prior to the upcoming U.S. election in November.

Fittingly titled Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe To American Regime For Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, the film’s riotous trailer can be seen below:

Helmed by Jason Woliner (Parks and Recreation, The Last Man on Earth), the film’s plot sees Borat return to America with his daughter (Maria Bakalova) in the hopes of marrying her off to someone “close to the throne”.

As to be expected, the sequel will see Borat get into some awkward situations which include interrupting a Mike Pence speech in a Donald Trump mask and staying with some random Republicans who teach him about the COVID-19 virus.

Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm will arrive at Amazon Prime on October 23, coincidentally a week after Cohen’s other new release The Trial of the Chicago 7 hits Netflix.
