After a long wait, an official trailer for Clerks III has finally landed…and it looks great!
Directed again by the legendary Kevin Smith, the third part of the popular cult series sees beloved characters like Randal, Dante, Jay and Silent Bob return for one last outing (sob).
The obscure plot sees Randal decide to make a film about the Quick Stop Groceries store after suffering a heart attack.
This particular storyline is inspired by Smith’s own near-fatal cardiac episode that occurred back in 2018.
Jeff Anderson and Brian O’Halloran are reprising the roles of Randal and Dante respectively, with Jason Mewes and Smith also appearing as Jay and Silent Bob. Additionally, Rosario Dawson is back as Dante’s lover Becky, as well as Trevor Fehrman as Elias and Marilyn Ghigliotti as Veronica.
Clerks first won our hearts way back in 1994 and went on to receive critical acclaim as well as selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. It’s follow-up, Clerks II also fared well with critics and audiences upon its release in 2006.
In the meantime, Clerks III will debut in US cinemas on September 13. However, a UK release date has yet to be confirmed.
