When The Woman in Black came out earlier this year, it was safe to say a lot of audiences were left terrified by its story. But with the arrival of its DVD is due out next week, information has now emerged about the film’s planned sequel which concerns its name and plot.
It has now been revealed that plot details of the follow-up to this year’s horror hit starring Daniel Radcliffe are on their website. Firstly the name of the sequel will be entitled The Woman in Black: Angels of Death. Secondly the synopsis is this:
“Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh House has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients, but soon realises she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.”
The news about the sequel was announced back in April by Hammer Films with story editor Jon Croker penning a new original story adapted from writer Susan Hill’s chilling novel.
No director or cast has been confirmed yet for the sequel, but it is clear that Hammer Films are benefiting from the huge success that Woman in Black made especially when it became the UK’s most successful horror film in twenty years. More news of the film will emerge soon….
