The factual drama explores one of the most dramatic news events of the past sixty years and is already generating positive buzz from critics.
Directed by Tim Fehlbaum (Hell, Tides), the film recounts the 1972 Munich Olympic hostage crisis from the perspective of the ABC Sports crew and their coverage of the events.
Peter Sarsgaard (Shattered Glass, Presumed Innocent) leads the cast as ABC Sports president Roone Arledge and is joined by John Magaro (The Umbrella Academy, Past Lives), Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line, The Dig), Leonie Benesch (Around the World in 80 Days, The Teachers’ Lounge), Zinedine Soualem (Welcome to the Sticks, Chefs), Corey Johnson (Captain Phillips, The Mauritanian), Georgina Rich (Blithe Spirit, Heartstopper), and Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power).
September 5 will arrive in UK cinemas on 24 January 2025.
