An official trailer has arrived for The Brutalist.
The upcoming historical epic is already being tipped to make a big impression on many audiences during the upcoming Oscar season.
Directed by Brady Corbet (Von Lux, The Crowded Room), the story chronicles the life of László Tóth, a Hungarian-born Jewish architect who survives the Holocaust and immigrates to the United States with his wife in order to experience the American dream.
After enduring poverty and indignity early on, he soon lands a contract with a wealthy client that effectively changes the course of his life.
Oscar winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist, The Grand Budapest Hotel) portrays Tóth and is joined in the cast by Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything, On the Basis of Sex), Guy Pearce (Memento, The King’s Speech), Joe Alwyn (The Favourite, Mary Queen of Scots), Raffey Cassidy (Tomorrowland, Von Lux), Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac, Lovers), Emma Laird (Mayor of Kingstown, A Haunting in Venice), Isaach de Bankolé (Casino Royale, Black Panther) and Alessandro Nivola (Disobedience, The Many Saints of Newark).
Clocking in at a whopping 215 minutes(!), The Brutalist is scheduled for release in the UK on 24 January 2025.
