Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed takes on former friend Jonathan Majors in Creed III trailer

A ‘knockout’ trailer has finally been unveiled for Creed III.

The third installment of the post-Rocky series sees leading man Michael B. Jordan make his directional debut in addition to reprising his popular role as fearless fighter Adonis Creed for another tough outing.

Set seven years after the events of Creed II (2018), the boxing drama’s plot sees Adonis thriving in his career while spending quality time with his wife Bianca and their young daughter Amara. However, the reappearance of an old childhood friend and former boxing prodigy eventually sparks tensions that ultimately lead to a long-anticipated showdown.

Prolific actor Jonathan Majors (Lovecraft Country, Loki) tackles the key role of Adonis’s old pal-turned-opponent Damian with original Creed stars Tessa Thompson (Bianca Taylor), Florian Munteanu (Viktor Drago), Tony Bellew (‘Pretty’ Ricky Conlan), Wood Harris (Tony ‘Little Duke’ Burton) and Phylicia Rashad (Mary Anne Creed) all set to return.

However, Rocky fans will be disappointed to learn that iconic star Sylvester Stallone will NOT be appearing as cinematic legend Rocky Balboa. Jordan had previously explained that he wanted to build the franchise around Adonis and therefore retire the Italian Stallion.

In the meantime, Creed III will be released in cinemas on 3 March 2023.
