Mare of Easttown’s Cailee Spaeny steps into the shoes of Priscilla Presley in new trailer for Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla

A new full-length trailer has been unveiled for Priscilla.

The upcoming biopic drama is the latest big-screen effort from Oscar-winning filmmaker Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation, On the Rocks) and delves into the life of actress and entrepreneur Priscilla Presley.

The film focuses on how a teenage Priscilla found love, and later marriage, with rock ‘n’ roll superstar Elvis Presley only to struggle with his fame over a number of years.

Cailee Spaeny (Mare of Easttown, The First Lady) tackles the key role of Priscilla while Jacob Elordi (Euphoria, Saltburn) portrays ‘the King’ himself. Additionally, further acting support comes from Dagmara Dominiczyk (Succession, The Lost Daughter), Ari Cohen (It, Ghostwriter), Luke Humphrey (I Was Lorena Bobbitt, See) and Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll (Ghosts, Blackberry).

Unlike last year’s music-based biopic Elvis (2022), this particular story delves away from Elvis and reflects more on Priscilla’s struggles with isolation and emotional strife.

Priscilla will open theatrically in the UK on Boxing Day and then release widely on 1 January 2024.
