A new trailer has arrived for Apple TV+’s upcoming cinematic spectacle Killers of the Flower Moon.
Directed by legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese (Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, The Departed), the fact-based crime epic bolsters a starry cast spearheaded by Oscar-winning star Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic, The Revenant).
Based on the non-fiction book by American journalist David Grann, the film focuses on how members of the Osage Native American tribe of Osage County, Oklahoma, were murdered after oil was found on their land. As a result, the shocking crime sparked an FBI investigation.
DiCaprio plays leading character Ernest Burkhart alongside two-time Oscar winning legend Robert De Niro (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas) as William Hale, Lily Gladstone (Certain Women, First Cow) as Mollie Burkhart, Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad, The Power of the Dog), as FBI agent Tom White, John Lithgow (Dexter, The Crown) as Prosecutor Leaward, and recent Oscar-winner Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, The Whale) as W.S. Hamilton.
Touted as a heavy contender for next year’s Oscars, Killers of the Flower Moon will arrive in UK cinemas on 20 October. A release date for streaming on Apple TV+ will be confirmed at a later time.
