Several years ago, audiences and critics were bowled over by the feel-good French comedy The Intouchables.
The film starred Omar Sy as an unemployed man who became carer to a wealthy aristocrat (Francois Cluzet) who was left paralysed following a paragliding accident. Despite their differences, the two men would go on to forge an unlikely bond.
Years later, the film has now been given the remake treatment in the form of The Upside which features three high-profile stars.
Following a lengthy wait, an official trailer has finally made its bow online.
Directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Divergent), the familiar plot sees comedian Kevin Hart (Ride Along, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) play the role of Dell with multi-award winning actor Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Trumbo) cast as the quadriplegic Phillip.
Other award-winning stars involved in the film are Nicole Kidman (The Hours, Lion) as Phillip’s chief steward and Julianna Marguiles (E.R, The Good Wife).
The Upside will be released in the UK on 11th January 2019.
