Justin Timberlake gets involved with gambling troubles in official trailer for Runner, Runner

Having made the transition from pop star to leading actor in the past few years, Justin Timberlake is about to continue his rising cinematic CV as he tackles a new role in the gambling thriller Runner, Runner.

However he won’t be so quick to walk away from recent Oscar winner Ben Affleck as the pair square off  in the upcoming film which has premiered its official trailer.

Directed by Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) and co-produced by fellow Hollywood hot-shot Leonardo Di-Caprio (Titanic, The Departed), the film’s plot sees Timberlake (The Social Network, In Time) play a Princeton student who loses his tuition money to an online poker website. He then ends up becoming the right hand man to the website’s corrupt boss, played by Affleck (Good Will Hunting, Argo).

British beauty Gemma Arterton (Tamara Drewe, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, Real Steel) and David Constabile (Breaking Bad, Lincoln) are amongst the standout names in the supporting cast.

The film will be released in cinemas on September 27th.
