As of two of Hollywood’s biggest money-making stars, Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt have both been involved in box-office hits that have spawned billions of dollars.
Oscar-winner Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook, Joy) has gained slightly more popularity for her action roles as heroine archer Everdeen Katniss in the Hunger Games franchise and as shape shifting mutant Mystique in the X-Men reboot series. In contrast, Pratt has built up a lot of recent success for his roles in the Marvel blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), The LEGO Movie (2014) and Jurassic World (2015).
The talented pair are now starring opposite each other in the upcoming sci-fi adventure Passengers which has just unveiled its official trailer.
Directed by Morten Tyldum (Headhunters, The Imitation Game), the plot focuses on a spacecraft that is traveling to a distant colony planet. The ship is transporting thousands of people but a malfunction causes two members (Lawrence and Pratt) to wake up many years early. The pair must try to repair the ship otherwise it could lead to their fellow passengers dying.
Michael Sheen (The Damned United, Masters of Sex) and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix trilogy, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) are the high profile co-stars.
Passengers will be released in the UK on 23rd December.
