The Fifty Shades of Grey film has found its new Christian Grey (again) much to the relief of many female fans.

It has been confirmed that former male model-turned actor Jamie Dornan has been cast in the role of the seductive billionaire in the upcoming film adaptation of EL James‘ erotic novel.

The British author tweeted the news on her Twitter page earlier today.

“Stow your twitchy palms ladies… our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1 x”

Prior to his acting career, Dornan was known to many of us for his modelling as well as dating British actress Keira Knightley from 2003 to 2005.

He eventually broke into acting his role in Sofia Coppola’s Oscar-winning period drama Marie-Antoinette (2006). Since then, he has appeared in ABC’s Once Upon a Time and the crime drama series The Fall.

Dornan steps into the role following the sudden departure of original choice Charlie Hunnam. The Sons of Anarchy star dropped out of the project last week due to his busy schedule with the hit US series.

The Fifty Shades of Grey film will be released in cinemas on August 1st 2014.
