Enchanted sequel confirmed, Amy Adams set to return as Giselle

Almost a decade ago(!), Amy Adams won many fans with her delightful turn as Princess Giselle in the Disney musical rom-com Enchanted.

Following years of impatient waiting, a sequel has FINALLY been confirmed with Adams (The Muppets, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) set to reprise her much-loved role.

Entitled Disenchanted, the film’s plot sees Giselle question her happily ever after, and accidentally triggering events that make everyone’s lives turn upside down in both the real world and in the animated kingdom of Andalasia.

Musical film director Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Rock of Ages) will helm the sequel with filming set to start next summer.

However there is no word on whether original stars Patrick Dempsey (Robert Philip), James Marsden (Prince Edward) and Idina Menzel (Nancy Tremaine) will return.
