Dory searches for her parents in full length trailer for Pixar’s Finding Dory

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost thirteen years since clownfish dad Marlin journeyed across the ocean to find his son in the hit Pixar animation Finding Nemo (2003).

One particular character who almost stole that Oscar-winning film was the friendly and forgetful blue fish Dory who tagged along with Marlin during his search.

Following a long wait, fans are finally being treated to a follow-up which sees Dory take the spotlight as comedian Ellen DeGeneres reprises her iconic vocal role.

After the release of a couple of teasers, a full-length trailer for Finding Dory has now been unveiled online.

Directed again by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, WALL-E), the plot sees Dory suddenly remembering her parents and deciding to track them down with the help of Marlin and his son Nemo. The trio encounter new friends and foes along the way as they find themselves in a marine park.

Albert Brooks (Taxi Driver, Drive) is back as Marlin though newcomer Hayden Rolence is now the new voice of Nemo.

The film also features a surprisingly talented vocal support cast which includes Idris Elba (Luther, The Jungle Book), Dominic West (The Wire, Pride), Ed O’Neil (Married with Children, Modern Family), Ty Burrell (Modern Family, Muppets Most Wanted), Kaitlin Olson (The Heat, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Bill Hader (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Inside Out), Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live, Ghostbusters), Diane Keaton (The Godfather trilogy, Annie Hall) and Eugene Levy (Splash, American Pie series).

Finding Dory will be released in the UK on July 29th.
