Daniel Craig returns for his final outing as James Bond in action-packed No Time to Die trailer

Next year will be a bittersweet one for James Bond fans as Daniel Craig prepares to say goodbye to 007.

The Hilbre High native is set to walk away from his heroic role as the suave spy for the fifth and final time in the upcoming action sequel No Time to Die. This outing will follow on from Craig’s previous flicks Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015).

The hype for the film has been made more significant by the lucrative involvements of several big-names including Emmy winning actress / writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Killing Eve) who is penning the script.

An explosive trailer for the 25th installment of the hit series has finally premiered and already promises a shedload of action to get us all pumped.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective, Maniac), the film’s official plot reads:

“Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help.

The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”

The sequel welcomes a number of cast additions which include newly-crowned Oscar winner Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, Bohemian Rhapsody) as Bond’s latest nemesis Safin and Lashana Lynch (Bulletproof, Captain Marvel) as a new agent at MI5.

Having worked with Craig on the recent mystery caper Knives Out, Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049, Blonde) is also onboard as the new Bond gal Paloma.

Additionally, the film also welcomes back franchise veterans Ralph Fiennes (M), Ben Whishaw (Q), Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny), Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), Lea Seydoux (Madeline Swann) and Christoph Waltz (Blofeld).

Fans will hope Craig’s swansong leaves them shaken and stirred when No Time to Die is released in the UK on April 2 2020.
