Chancellor Kate Winslet desperately tries to hang onto power in new trailer for HBO’s The Regime

Blah

A new trailer has arrived for The Regime.

The six-part HBO miniseries sees BAFTA, Emmy and Oscar winner Kate Winslet (Titanic, The Reader, Mare of Easttown) take centre stage again in what looks like another formidable role.

Created by Emmy-winning writer and producer Will Tracy (Succession, The Menu), the political satire focuses on a comically inept chancellor (Winslet) who struggles to maintain control over a modern European country.

The rest of the talented series ensemble includes Matthias Schoenaerts (Rust and Bone, Django), Guillaume Gallienne (Marie Antoinette, The French Dispatch), Andrea Riseborough (National Treasure, To Leslie), Danny Webb (Alien³, The Dig), Henry Goodman (The Damned United, Golda), David Bamber (Valkyrie, Enola Holmes), Stanley Townsend (The Current War, The Spy), Rory Keenan (The Guard, Somewhere Boy), Martha Plimpton (The Goonies, Raising Hope), and Hugh Grant (Four Weddings and a Funeral, A Very English Scandal).

The Regime will premiere on Sky Atlantic in April.
