John McClane teams up with his son in Russia in A Good Day to Die Hard trailer

In what has been an explosive year for Bruce Willis with films like The Expendables II and Looper, the veteran action star is about to kick ass again next year when he reprises his role as cop John McClane for a fifth time in A Good Day to Die Hard.

Yahoo! released a teaser trailer for the latest film in the Die Hard franchise last night with the rousing Symphony No. 9 music from Beethoven used as background music to add to the explosiveness of this sequel.

The plot sees McClane travel to Russia to rescue his son Jack (played by Spartacus actor Jai Courtney), only to get caught up in a terrorist plot involving the circumstances behind his son’s arrest.

To add a little bit of continuity from the disappointing Die Hard 4.0 (2007), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (The Thing) returns as McClane’s daughter Lucy with Cole Hauser (Tears of the Sun), Sebastian Koch (Unknown) and model-turned-actress Julia Snigir being new additions to the cast.

Max Payne director John Moore will helm the film which is set for a Valentine’s Day release in 2013.

All together now Die Hard fans, Yippee Ki-Yay….
