A new trailer has been unveiled for Captain America: Brave New World.
The latest instalment from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) heralds a new world for Marvel fans as Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson adjusts to his new role as Captain America after the events of the miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).
Directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox, Luce), the plot sees Wilson being offered the chance to become a U.S. agent under newly-elected president Thaddeus Ross. However, he soon finds himself caught in the middle of an international accident that threatens to have major ramifications on the world.
Mackie is joined in the film by Hollywood legend Harrison Ford (Star Wars series, Indiana Jones series) who steps into the role of Ross after the passing of original actor William Hurt in 2022.
Additionally, Danny Ramirez (Joaquin Torres) and Carl Lumbly (Isaiah Bradley) reprise their roles from the 2021 miniseries and are joined by MCU newcomers Shira Haas (Unorthodox, Bodies), and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, The Mandalorian).
The new film also welcomes the return of Liv Tyler (Betty Ross) and Tim Blake Nelson (Samuel Sterns) to the MCU after their previous appearances in The Incredible Hulk (2008).
Captain America: Brave New World will fly into UK cinemas on 14 February 2025, a.k.a. Valentine’s Day!
