A riveting new trailer has landed for The Social Reckoning.
Based on the Wall Street Journal series The Facebook Files, the upcoming factual drama is a companion piece to the acclaimed 2010 film The Social Network and delves into the biggest scandal in cybersecurity history.
Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network), the story focuses on how young Facebook engineer Frances Haugen boldly decided to blow the whistle on the social network’s most guarded secrets with the help of journalist Jeff Horwitz.
Recently-crowned Oscar winner Mikey Madison (Better Things, Anora) and Golden Globe winner Jeremy Allen White (The Bear, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere) lead the film’s cast as Haugen and Horowitz respectively, alongside Emmy winner Jeremy Strong (Succession, The Apprentice) as controversial Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Additionally, the rest of the acting ensemble includes BAFTA winner Wunmi Mosaku (His House, Sinners), Betty Gilpin (GLOW, Death by Lightning), Billy Magnussen (Game Night, Road House) and Bill Burr (Breaking Bad, Old Dads).
The Social Reckoning will be released in the UK on 9 October.
