The official trailer for WandaVision is here.
The upcoming Disney+ miniseries is the first television programme in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is set to share continuity with the films of the franchise.
Created by Jac Schaeffer (The Hustle) and set three weeks after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), the plot follows Wanda Maximoff and Vision as they live an idyllic suburban life in the town of Westview, New Jersey, until their reality starts moving through different decades of sitcom homages and television tropes.
Once again, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their hit roles as Wanda and Vision and are joined by fellow Marvel returnees Randall Park (Jimmy Woo), and Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis).
Additionally, the rest of the cast includes Debra Jo Rupp (Big, That ’70s Show), Fred Melamed (A Serious Man, Shiva Baby), Kathryn Hahn (Step Brothers, Transparent), and Teyonah Parris (Dear White People, If Beale Street Could Talk) as Monica Rambeau.
Conceived as a nine-part series, WandaVision will premiere its first two episodes on Disney+ from 15 January 2021.
Furthermore, Marvel fans can also look forward to more Disney+ original series next year, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki.
