A new trailer has landed for Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
The heat is back on for one of cinema’s most memorable lawmen, as Eddie Murphy reprises his iconic role as street-smart Detroit detective Axel Foley after thirty years in the long-awaited fourth installment of the action-comedy franchise.
Directed by newcomer Mark Molloy, the plot sees Axel return to Beverly Hills after his daughter is threatened. As a result, he is soon forced to team up with a new partner and his old pals in order to uncover a conspiracy.
Murphy is joined in the new outing by fellow Beverly Hills Cop veterans Judge Reinhold as Lt. William “Billy” Rosewood, Paul Reiser as Det. John Freidman, John Ashton as Sgt. John Taggart and Bronson Pinchot as Serge.
Additionally, the rest of the cast includes Taylour Paige (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Zola), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (50/50, Looper), Mark Pellegrino (Mulholland Drive, Supernatural) and Kevin Bacon (Footloose, Hollow Man).
The original Beverly Hills Cop was a major hit with critics and audiences upon its release in 1984 and later brought two sequels; Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) and Beverly Hills Cop III (1994).
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F will arrive on Netflix on 3 July.
