Last month produced a shock in the May poll as the car-thriller Fast and Furious 6 pipped Star Trek into Darkness by one vote to win the Film of the Month award! Nice to have a surprise winner even if I don’t rate any films from that franchise!

Despite the arrival of summer, the blockbusters have been rather disappointing with Man of Steel being the only film I ended up seeing in June. Here’s hoping July brings more cinematic viewings!
