Time goes backwards in thrilling new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet

For twenty years now, Christopher Nolan has left audiences in awe at the mystery and spectacle of some of his biggest films which include The Dark Knight trilogy (2005-12), Inception (2010) and more recently, Dunkirk (2017).

The visionary filmmaker is looking to continue his success with another intriguing project in the form of the upcoming sci-fi thriller Tenet.

Following the release of a teaser earlier this year, a new action-packed trailer has been unveiled and certainly delivers in terms of giving little away.

The synopsis reads:

“Armed with only one word — Tenet — and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.”

John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman, Ballers) and new Batman star Robert Pattinson (Twilight series, The Lighthouse) lead a versatile cast which also includes Elizabeth Debicki (The Night Manager, Widows), Kenneth Branagh (Wallander, Dunkirk), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Godzilla, Nocturnal Animals), Clémence Poésy (In Bruges, The Tunnel), Himesh Patel (Yesterday, The Aeronauts), Martin Donovan (Ant-Man, Big Little Lies), Fiona Dourif (True Blood, The Blacklist), Dimple Kapadia (Rudaali, Dil Chata Hai) and Nolan regular Sir Michael Caine (The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Interstellar).

Despite the ongoing issues with COVID-19, Warner Bros are pushing for Tenet to be released this summer. It is currently set to hit UK cinemas on 17 July.
