The Hunger Games franchise concludes in official trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

Almost three years since its first installment was released, the Hunger Games franchise is heading for an explosive ending with the upcoming second part of the final film Mockingjay.

The big-screen adaptation of the successful action novels by Suzanne Collins has helped the likes of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle) and Josh Hutcherson (Journey to the Centre of the Earth, The Kids Are All Right) become box-office favourites with the pair returning as much-loved characters Everdeen Katniss and Peeta Mellark.

The official trailer for the final outing, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 has finally been released.

Directed again by Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend, Water for Elephants), the story picks up from the previous film as Everdeen leads District 13 on an all-out war against the Capitol and its ruler President Snow.

Lawrence and Hutcherson are joined by fellow Hunger Games cast regulars including Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair), Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy), Stanley Tucci (Caesar Flickerman), Donald Sutherland (President Snow), Julianne Moore (President Alma Coin), Jena Malone (Johanna Mason), Toby Jones (Claudius Templesmith), Jeffrey Wright (Beetee), Natalie Dormer (Cressida) and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee).

The only official newcomer to the franchise is Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) who has been cast as Commander Lyme.

Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will be released in cinemas worldwide on November 19th.
